{"id":75,"date":"2022-11-17T23:33:05","date_gmt":"2022-11-17T23:33:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/deathstyle.org\/?p=75"},"modified":"2022-11-17T23:35:54","modified_gmt":"2022-11-17T23:35:54","slug":"dog-biscuits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/deathstyle.org\/?p=75","title":{"rendered":"Dog Biscuits"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 1 c. sugar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 1 c. shortening<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 1 c. molasses<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 1 c. hot water<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 3 t. ground ginger<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 1 t. allspice<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 1 t. clove<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; pinch salt<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 1 t cinnamon<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 3 t. baking powder<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 6 to 8 cups flour<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instructions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Stir sugar and shortening to mix. Add molasses and stir. Add water, stirring until shortening melts.<\/li><li>Sift in dry ingredients, plus 2 cups flour.<\/li><li>Stir in 4 cups flour, then knead in an additional cup of flour.&nbsp; Continue adding flour until dough is desired stiffness.<\/li><li>On floured cutting board, roll into 1\/2-inch ropes and cut into 1-inch long pieces.&nbsp; (Roll to about a thumb&#8217;s width, then cut into pieces the width of two fingers.)<\/li><li>Place one inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet and chill for 15 minutes.<\/li><li>Bake at 375 for 10-15 minutes.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Notes: More flour means a harder cookie.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A family favorite.
